Malyssa Jackson has an extensive background in the anatomy of the body and how it moves.  She started this journey as a massage therapist and personal trainer back in 2000.  Shortly after, she began her yoga practice and did her first teacher training in 2006.  Malyssa was always growing, learning and studying her own personal development and throughout this process completed coaching with Institute for Integrative Nutrition and other various coaching programs.  

Malyssa is passionate about teaching people how to connect to their own personal  health, physical body and what it needs to be healthy and strong.  She understands that this deep connection with self comes from a daily physical practice.  Also, Malyssa believes that in this life we can all have whatever we want if we have the right daily practices in place and a rock solid support system.  

Malyssa’s drive for creating an amazing lifestyle has taken her from a single mom on welfare coming out of a physically abusive marriage to now living her dream life.   Because of her constant push for growth she is now married to an amazing man and a stay at home mom who walks or bikes to the beach daily just to meditate.  She’s either relaxing in gratitude on her balcony view of downtown Miami, playing with her toddler or living out her passion helping others to create whatever they want for a peaceful, successful, happy life.   

Knowing that it’s possible was enough for Malyssa to decide that it was time to help other women achieve the lifestyle of their dreams by living healthy, connecting with their body, and living with purpose.

I met Malyssa during my yoga teacher training in 2013. One of the things that I learned from Malyssa during teacher training was the need to keep up with my own practice so that I could be an effective teacher for others. Eventually, I took a break from teaching, and my own practice fell off, but then the pandemic hit. At the beginning of the pandemic, I was feeling anxious, depressed, weighed down, and generally unwell. So when Malyssa suggested beginning a daily Mysore/Ashtanga practice, I decided to give it a try. In the beginning, because I was carrying a bunch of defeatist and negative thoughts about myself, my body, and practice, I struggled. I mean, I STRUGGLED! There were days when all I could do was a very limited practice where I was mostly on my back. Then, Malyssa suggested adding “Mastermind” conversations to help clarify our purpose and passions. Slowly but surely my body, my mind, and my practice became more recognizable and positive. There will always be days when we feel weighed down, for whatever reason, but working with Malyssa through this process has made a world of difference to every aspect of my life and my practice.
